AMSAC, the Sonora Mining Association, brings together companies and professionals from the mining and metallurgical sector while promoting its development in connection with the broader community. Through Expo Minera, this vision takes shape in an event where industry, leadership, and community come together.
2026 marked our fourth year collaborating with AMSAC to cover this annual event. Throughout these editions, we have documented the evolution of Expo Minera through different audiovisual pieces, capturing not only its growth in scale, but also its transformation into a key meeting point for the industry and its surrounding community.

The Expo Minera Cananea 2026 aftermovie translates that scale into a narrative of origin, connection, and expansion. A piece that shows how the event continues to evolve by bringing together the people who make it possible.

For this edition, we focused on capturing conversations, encounters, tours, reactions, and small moments that reflected the energy of the event. The goal was to show that behind every company, innovation, and project is a network of people sharing knowledge, building partnerships, and contributing to the development of the industry.
To accomplish this, we planned the spaces, schedules, and key moments in advance, defining how our camera, audio, and drone teams would be deployed. This preparation gave us the clarity to cover the essential moments while remaining responsive to the spontaneous interactions that brought the event to life.

The cultural and community programming also revealed another side of Expo Minera.

Music, theater, children’s activities, tours, and sporting events transformed different parts of Cananea into spaces for connection. The experience was not limited to a single venue. It extended throughout the city and brought together audiences from different backgrounds.
One of the most important decisions in developing this aftermovie was ensuring that it would work as more than an immediate recap. Although the video documents a specific edition, its narrative centers on ideas that remain relevant over time: collaboration, innovation, territory, community, and growth.
This allows the piece to continue creating value after the event. It can communicate Expo Minera’s impact, attract future partnerships, strengthen institutional communications, and show new participants what it means to be part of the experience.

After four years of collaborating with AMSAC, we understand that telling the story of Expo Minera means looking beyond its stages and scale. It means recognizing the community that welcomes the event, participates in it, and gives it its identity.
The aftermovie therefore goes beyond documenting what happened. It becomes a portrait of a shared experience: a story of origin, connection, and growth shaped by everyone who makes Expo Minera possible.
